Fully Renovated Kitchen Without Breaking the Bank

Kitchen renovations are an excellent way to update and add value to your home. Affordably.

In this customer’s kitchen, the 1980’s honey oak cupboard doors and drawer fronts were out of date. However, the solid wood doors were still in excellent condition. So replacing or refacing them, both of which are very expensive, made no sense at all.

Instead, we decided to give them some TLC…we sanded lightly, primed them to prevent the color from bleeding through, and painted them an off white.  We also installed sleek brushed nickel handles, and decided to salvage the existing hinges, which were still in great working order.  We gave them a light sand to brighten them up: good as new and very affordable.

The customer did a great job choosing a wall paint color that matched the hardware in the kitchen, and allowed the white of the cupboards to really stand out!  We repaired drywall, painted the ceiling and walls, and cleaned up and repainted the trim.

A new countertop was installed, as well as new light fixtures and wall outlets to compliment the updated colors in the kitchen.

And for the final touch, we removed the old bark board backsplash with floral designs, and installed a modern, glass and stone mosaic tiled backsplash.  Another excellent choice, as the colors in the backsplash tied all the upgrades together nicely, making everything pop!!!

Voila!!!  An upgraded, renewed and modern kitchen…and money left in the bank 🙂
